BAE Land Division

BAE Systems purchased Tenix Defence Land Division (Tenix) as part of its acquisition of the Tenix Defence organisation in 2008.

Tenix Land Division as a leader in civilian support and Army vehicle maintenance provided extensive facilities for design, assembly, modification and maintenance of all land-based military and commercial vehicles.    Tenix Land targeted business was to provide logistic and through-life support for a wide range of in-service Australian Defence Force (ADF) vehicles and equipment.   It also provided garrison support services to south-east Queensland and potentially other military bases within Australia.   The organisation is primarily in Wingfield, South Australia and Bandiana, Victoria.

Imag’s partnership with Tenix Land Division, and now BAE Systems is to provide a configuration and content management solution specifically for the Defence M113 upgrade program of work.   Dubbed the Configuration Management Information System ( CMIS ) the system's initial installation was completed in 2005 and since that time has undergone a number of refreshes to add increasing product capability and align the content management component to the globally accepted S1000D strategy for presentation of supporting documentation against the M113 program.

Today the CMIS environment is in a steady state mode with the M113 program about to be passed back to the Commonwealth to commence the through life support phase of the program.   The future in terms of who will have the responsibility for ongoing delivery of through life support remains as yet unassigned, however Imag is confident that Enovia MatrixOne will continue to deliver this capability as an extension to the existing CMIS environment.
